The Mighty String Demons ignited my passion for music, and provided me with the discipline and work ethic that I now try to instill in my students as an arts teacher. The performance opportunities we had gave me lifelong memories, taught me professionalism both on and off the stage, and even gave me one of my greatest friendships!

My daughter, Anna, has been a member of the Mighty String Demons since 2015. Sanchie Bobrow has created a remarkable opportunity for these young musicians. Mastering ensemble playing is an essential part of becoming an accomplished violinist, and these children have been able to develop this skill from a very young age. The skill of working with and listening to others has carried over into other aspects of Anna's life both in academics and school leadership. MSD has also instilled in Anna and her peers the value of community and giving back through music and other ways. I can confidently say that she has grown both musically and personally during her time as a Demon.
As an original Mighty String Demon (1995–2003), and now a mother to a current MSD (2023) we are honored to be members of such a wonderful organization. The appreciation for classical music is literally spanning generations in our home. Our Suzuki training has given us the confidence and discipline to work through challenges which can be applied to all facets of our lives. But without Sanchie, we would not have had the opportunity to bring music to members of the community. More important than technical skill or knowledge, is fostering a sense of belonging and value to our community. It is a joy to share in my child's growth and happiness.
As I performed with the Mighty String Demons between 2016 and 2021, I experienced invaluable growth of musicianship and personal character. We practiced a diverse collection of music that expanded my technical abilities beyond the classical music styles I was used to learning and encouraged me to think creatively about how my instrument can be used for artistic expression. I had the opportunity to perform with professional musicians as well as fellow students of varying skill levels, allowing me to learn through example while also exercising collaboration and mentorship. Finally, playing at events that ranged from cheerful festivals to solemn memorials, I developed increased comfort in addressing an audience with both confidence and respect. I will take the musical and personal skills that I developed with the Mighty String Demons with me everywhere I go in life.
For our daughter, being part of the Mighty String Demons is a wonderful experience, not only for her, but for us as parents 🎶. I’m so grateful for your dedication to teaching this beautiful music that brings joy to so many of us.
